Ritchie Yorke has been at the cutting edge of music journalism for well over three decades. Internationally renowned, he has contributed to all of the world's major music journals including Rolling Stone, billboard, the New Musical Express and Mojo.

He was the first journalist to recognise the potential of Led Zeppelin in the late sixties and as a result gained unprecedented access to the band's inner sanctum.

Apart from writing, he has been a peace envoy for John Lennon and Yoko Ono, acted a s Van Morrison's publicity representative, served on the Committee of Honour at the Montreux International Jazz and Blues Festival and produced radio documentaries on a flock of artists including The Band, Daniel Lanois, John Lennon, Little Feat and REM.

He is currently based in his home town of Brisbane, where he lives with his two children and is resident contemporary-music writer for the Sunday Mail.
